Lois M. Ristau (nee Dahl)
October 6, 1932 – July 7, 2025

Beloved wife of the late James W. Ristau; dear mother and mother-in-law of Cathy Olsen, David (Jane) Ristau and Jim Ristau; loving grandmother of Matt and Michael Olsen, Daniel (Cara) Ristau, Laura (Tom) Bragg and Ryan, Evan and Nicole Ristau; loving great-grandmother of Makenzie and Haylee Olsen and Evelyn Bragg; dear sister of Pam (Peter) Zavoral, the late Audrey (John) Brynsvold and the late Burton Dahl; our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Lois loved her church family as well as her own and served by volunteering in numerous activities, such as delivering meals on wheels, participating in Women's Bible Studies, hosting monthly birthday parties at a local nursing home, and serving on various church committees.  Lois was an avid gardener and spent many hours tending to her beautiful backyard garden. After her husband passed away in 1985, she received support from a group of special church friends, traveling together through parts of Europe and the United States, and creating wonderful memories which she treasured through the years. Lois's family feels so blessed to have had so many wonderful years with her and she will be dearly missed.

Funeral at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur on Mon., July 14 at 2 p.m. with visitation from 12 p.m. until time of service. Interment Bellerive Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
