May 4, 1927 – October 4, 2022
Louis Juranas, 95, of St. Louis County passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022, with family at his side. Born on the Southside of Chicago, IL, he had a successful career as an accountant/auditor before retiring from the US Army Audit Agency in which he served many years. He was a WWII veteran who served as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps. Over the years he was an avid fly fisherman, talented woodworker, extensive traveler, enjoyed the game of chess, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mildred, and his loving wife of 68 years, Doris. He was the proud father of 5 children: Karen Holliman (Jim), David Juranas (Kathy), Diane Oesch (Phil), Kirk Juranas (Brenda) and Mari Porath (Robyn). He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home 12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141 on Friday, November 18 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service. Followed by Military Funeral Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
