Louise Joyce Bischoff (Ellerbrock)

Louise Joyce Bischoff, née Ellerbrock, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on November 19, 1933, Louise, also known as Joyce, lived a life full of faith and service. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Reverend William Bischoff, with whom she shared many cherished years.

Louise's life was marked by her deep commitment to her faith and church community. She dedicated much of her time to volunteer work at Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and president of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Her leadership extended to Concordia Seminary's Guild, where she held positions as secretary, vice president, and president. Louise also served as the Lutheran Women's Missionary League Missouri District president, exemplifying her passion for service and her dedication to the Lutheran community.

Louise is survived by her loving family, including her son Mark Bischoff and his wife Teresa, and their children, Kristen Bischoff and Ryan Bischoff. She is also survived by her daughter Linda Wittmaier and her husband Jeff, and their children Andrew Wittmaier and Alyssa Rahn, and son-in-law Corey Rahn.

Joyce was blessed with the tender loving care of her cousin Lisa Fox who was a weekly visitor and a lively domino player, bringing joy and companionship to her life.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and leader, Louise will be remembered for her unwavering faith, service, and the lasting impact she made on those around her.

A funeral service will be held at Village Lutheran Church in Ladue, Missouri, on Friday, September 13. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 AM. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joyce's memory to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
