Marjorie (Hong) Cheung (March 13, 1941 – December 10, 2024)

Mrs. Marjorie Cheung went peacefully to be with the Lord.  Loving wife of the late Reverend David Cheung for 50 years.  Devoted mother to Kevin (Necole Powell), Karen (Chung Leong) and Kerry.  Affectionate grandmother to Matthew (Caroline Kelly), Michael, Nathan Cheung; Brittnay and Justin Powell; Evan (Jess Crise), Elliott (Mary Stahlschmidt) and Ethan Leong.  Doting great-grandmother to Ezekiel and Miriam Leong. Beloved daughter of the late Chooey and Lillie Hong.  Dear sister to the late Eugene (Ann) Hong, the late Richard (Marylou) Hong, Patsy (the late Eugene Chu), the late William (Selina) Hong, Kenneth (Diana) Hong, the late Carol Hong, Darlene (the late David Wang) and Stan (the late Lisa) Hong.  Marjorie was adored by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marjorie lived a life of sacrificial love in service to her Lord and loved ones.  Her unwavering devotion in support of her husband's ministries all over the world and her quiet faith in prayers for others, these are the legacies she leaves behind.  Marjorie was always warm and friendly to all who encountered her on the path of life.  She had an infectious laugh and remarkable sense of humor.  Her own brand of sarcasm was always on point. Marjorie courageously won her battle against cancer with dignity and strength, while dutifully caring for her mother and husband.  Her departure to heaven was in her sleep as she wished. We will forever miss her smile and funny conversations.

Service: Visitation will take place on Friday December 20 from 4-8 pm.  Worship and celebration of life service will be on Saturday, December 21 starting 10 am, both at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Boulevard, Creve Coeur.  Interment at Bellerive Cemetery to immediately follow.
