Mary Ellen Beekman

(nee Larsen), January 7, 1948-August 24, 2022

Beloved wife of Fred Beekman for 55+ years; dear mother and mother-in-law of Laurie (John) Preusser, Jim (Amy) Beekman, Susie Richmann and Janet Horvath; dear granny to 10: Jennifer (Chris), Adam, Sam, Michael, Nick, Allison, Katie, Colleen, Megan and Daniel; dear great-grandma to a bun in the oven (Jennifer); dear sister of Rick Larsen and the late Janet Larsen and the late Michael Larsen; dear daughter of the late Mary and Ken Larsen; dear sister-in-law to Joan (and the late Deacon Lou) Reynoso and Bill (Phyllis) Beekman; our dear aunt to many Reynoso's, Larsen's and Beekman's.

Mary was the anchor and glue that made the Fred Beekman family what it is today; loving, caring, with strong moral character, kind and generous. She stood behind Fred and gave her complete support in all of his endeavors. She loved her kids and grandkids completely and entirely. She never waivered in that love and dedication. She was an excellent athlete, a coach for youth teams at St. Rita School and a supportive parent in many school activities.

Mary donated her body to St. Louis University Medical School. We will miss her bodily presence, but her spirit will live on in each and everyone of the Beekman/Reynoso families and anyone whose life she touched for eternity. May she rest in peace with Jesus.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held in St. Rita Church Hall on Sunday, September 11 ^th at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at the intersection of Page Ave. and North & South Rd. You are welcome to attend Sunday Liturgy Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the church if you so choose. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Rita Catholic Church appreciated.
