Mary “Jeannine” Emerson

Jeannine passed away after battling a brief illness with cancer.
Born in St. Louis to Michael and Mae Riordan. Preceded in death by her older bothers Jim, Jack and Joe.
Graduate of Nerinx Hall High School 1953. She married Ronald G. Dahlmer in 1957 and he passed away in 1966 after battling cancer.
Children: Mary Schroeder (Gary), Sue Crum (Joel), Joanne Ringland (Jim). Grandchildren: Andrew (Melissa), JC (Carolann), Emily (Adam), Katie (Barrett), Christian (Anne), Megan (Patrick), Ellie (Harry) and Jimmy. Greatgrandchildren: Mitch, Millie, Paxton, Quinn, Henry, Lilly, Trey, Otto, Leon and Jones-Ellen “JoJo”. Jeannine also had many wonderful nieces and nephews that were very dear to her and brought her a lot of joy.
She was fortunate to reconnect with Don Emerson after he was widowed and they married in 2004. They had many happy memories in their travels, especially to Anna Maria Island. They moved into Baywood Villages community and were blessed with some very close friends over their last decades. Don passed in 2021. Jeannine was also fortunate to have some lifelong friends from her school, and from her years of living in the Robinwood West community. These friends were a longtime support system for each other through many decades and seasons of life.
She had fond memories of working at Intermec for the last 20 years of her career and retired in 2006. She considered many of the colleagues there as a second family to her.
A quote she had saved: “The past is behind; learn from it. The future is ahead; prepare for it. The present is here; live it. By Thomas S. Monson.
Jeannine was an active member of Incarnate Word Parish. A mass to celebrate her life will be at a later date.
She would be honored if you donated in her memory to one of the many charities she supported: Incarnate Word Church, Circle of Concern Food Pantry, The Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
