Mary C. Nicholson (nee Casillas)

Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Mary (Casillas) Nicholson passed from this world on Sunday, November 6, 2022 surrounded by family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Julia Casillas and siblings Juanita (John) Segovia, Beatrice (Eugene) Deramo, Paul (Ruth) Casillas, Margaret Casillas, Joe David Casillas and Josie (Steven) Kopet as well as her beloved husband of 51 years, James Nicholson.

Mary is survived by her children Angela (David Ampleman) Nicholson, Jim (Katherine) Nicholson, Steve (Cathy) Nicholson and Michael (Deanna Sohn) Nicholson and her grandchildren Taylor Nicholson, Emma Nicholson, Sam Nicholson, Max Nicholson, Maddie Nicholson, Molly Nicholson, Jesse (Taylor) Sohn and Alyssa Nicholson.

She will be remembered for her faith, fabulous cooking and baking skills, being an amazing hostess, seamstress, co-worker, friend, Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-law, Aunt, music lover and Cardinals fan.

Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church on Thursday, November 10 at 6 p.m. with visitation at church from 3 p.m. until time of service. Interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Kirkwood, on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10:45 a.m. Procession will leave the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to charity of your choice appreciated.
