Mary Sue
Reim
December 10, 1937 – March 17, 2026
Mary Sue Reim (née Stovall) passed away on March 17, 2026.
Wife of the late Theodore Duane Reim; devoted mother and mother-in-law of Christine (Arturo) Latimer, Michael (Julie) Reim, and Elizabeth Reim; cherished Oma of Joshua (Leah) Spehn, Breanna Spehn, Claire Brockmann, and Jace Brockmann; proud great-grandmother of Gavin and Fiona.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Duane Reim; her parents, William Tatum Stovall and Eleanor Mae (Honea) Stovall; and her brother, William Tatum Stovall.
She is lovingly remembered by her extended family, including sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Beloved Pet-Oma to Gidgett, Decker, Stella Blue, and Kip.
Mary Sue peacefully joined her Lord and Savior at home in the early morning of Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was born in Cleveland, Mississippi, and grew up in Greenville, Mississippi. She married Theodore Duane Reim on June 14, 1958, and devoted her life to her family, raising three children while supporting her husband's Air Force career in places such as Panama, El Salvador, Massachusetts, North Dakota, California, and eventually St. Louis, Missouri. Her family settled in St. Louis in 1976, when they became members of King of Kings Lutheran Church, where she regularly participated as a leader in church activities such as teaching Bible study, Vacation Bible School, puppet ministry, and Sunday school. She played an active role in her community and church, supporting those around her by providing transportation to worship and medical appointments, visiting the sick, and consistently ensuring those around her felt cared for. While living in St. Louis, Mary Sue volunteered for the USO, worked at a close family friend's consignment store, participated as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and, above all else, greatly enjoyed raising and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary Sue will always be remembered by her Southern charm, passion for hospitality, fascinating storytelling, and leaving everyone she met with a smile on their face. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
