Michael “Mike” Carmen Lombardo, 66, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away surrounded by those who loved him on April 20, 2026.

Mike was born on July 16, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri. Mike was the son of Ruth (Duff) Lombardoand Carmen Lombardo. He was an outgoing, hardworking, caring individual who was passionate about those he loved.

Mike attended school at Good Shepherd Catholic Grade School, Rosary Catholic High School, and Riverview High School. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America– Hyde Park in New York.

His passion for the restaurant business began while growing up and watching his father. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Drury, Sr., approached him to open a restaurant in one of their hotels, which set the path for Mike, and his brother Tony, to flourish and expand the Lombardo family tradition. He livedto continue his family’s legacy while owning and operating Lombardo’s Trattoria for 35 years and Carmine’s Steak House for 26 years.Mike touched the hearts of many people, not just with his words and actions, but with his magnificent food and hospitality.His old school Sicilian mentality and unique leadership approach guided severalindividuals in the industry.

He was a loving husband to Eda (Accardi) Lombardo for 28 years and the father of Allison Ring-Marstall (Ryan Marstall) and Mia Lombardo (Dalton Evans). Mike enjoyed being with his family, especially when it involvedGia, his dogs, Green River Bourbon,and the clubhouse. He was known for his elaborate story-telling capabilities and jokes that could make anyone smile.

Mike is survived by his mother, Ruth (Duff) Lombardo, siblings, Karen Lombardo Baker (Patrick Baker), and Anthony Lombardo (Amy Lombardo). He was a loving husband, father, uncle, great-uncle, friend, boss, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and so much more.

In respect to one of his last wishes, Mike made the decision to be an organ donor. A private remembrance will be held in honor of Mikeat a later date. In lieu of flowers, the Lombardo family asks that donations be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that Mike personally supported.
