Obituary

Nancy Lee Rudolph (Brunkhardt)-October 17, 1937-Septemeber 5, 2026 Nancy Lee (Brunkhardt) Rudolph, 88, of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully in hospice care on September 5, 2026. Nancy is survived by her son, Daniel Rudolph (Annabelle); daughter, Jill Dobson (Christopher); beloved granddaughters, Emily and Katherine Rudolph; and sisters, Ellen Larsen (Larry) and Geraldine Boyes (Dave). She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 59 years, Richard Rudolph; her son, Andrew Rudolph; sisters, Betty Repp and Doris Walhert; and her parents, Fred and Mary (Helmut) Brunkhardt. Nancy was born on October 17, 1937, in Hillrose, Colorado, the third of five daughters born to Fred and Mary Brunkhardt.

Growing up on her father's sugar beet farm, Nancy often shared fond memories of working alongside her sisters and enjoying the pleasures of farm life. She attended Hillrose High School, where she was active in the school band as a drummer, a cheerleader, and a member of the press club.

After high school, Nancy spent several years helping on the family farm before moving to Denver with her sister and close friend. While working at Central Bank of Denver, she met the love of her life, Richard Rudolph. Their partnership became the foundation of a life centered on unwavering devotion to one another.

In 1969, Nancy and Richard moved to St. Louis, where they built a home and raised their family. Nancy's greatest joy was caring for those she loved. As a wife, mother, and later grandmother, she gave selflessly of her time, energy, and heart. Whether supporting her children in their activities, working alongside Richard in his accounting practice, or simply making sure everyone felt cared for, Nancy's quiet strength touched every life around her.

Family was the heart of Nancy's life. She treasured time spent at home, gathering with loved ones, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and creating memories on family vacations. Some of her most cherished moments were spent at St. George Island, Florida, where time with family brought her great joy. Of all the roles she held throughout her life, none was more meaningful to her than being "Grandma" to Emily and Katherine. She attended and supported their school events, band concerts, swim, cross country, and track meets. She took immense pride in watching them grow and treasured every moment she shared with them. A faithful member of Incarnate Word Catholic Church in Chesterfield, Nancy's faith was a guiding force in her life and was reflected in the kindness she extended to everyone she met.

Nancy's life was a testament to love, devotion, and selflessness. She found her greatest purpose in caring for her family, and her strength and steady presence shaped the lives of those who loved her. As a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, she gave endlessly of herself and asked for little in return. Her legacy lives on in the family she treasured and in the countless memories she helped create.
