Raymond Nelson
Cox
May 2, 1957 – April 17, 2025
Raymond Nelson Cox, of Bridgeton, MO, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 67.
Raymond was a man of many talents and endless curiosity. He loved tinkering with computers, whether it was building them from scratch or solving challenging tech puzzles. A true craftsman at heart, he found joy in carpentry, often building, fixing, or improving things around the house. His love for music shone through in the melodies he played on his guitar and keyboard, filling his home with warmth and harmony. And of course, he was always ready with a classic Dad joke, the kind that made you roll your eyes and laugh at the same time.
Raymond also appreciated the simple pleasures in life, especially a cold Busch Light Beer after a long day. Whether he was out in the garage working on a project or relaxing in his office, a Busch Light in hand was never far away. A true American Dad through and through.
Raymond was the loving husband of Tina Cox; the beloved son of the late Margaret Ann Cox and Robert Nelson Cox; and the devoted father of Jill (Chris) Italiano, Tara (Jeff) Kannel, Jayne (Alex) Pietrangelo, and Ryan Cox. He was a cherished grandfather to Aiden Italiano, Isabella Italiano, Christopher Italiano, Mackenzie Kannel, Elliana Kannel, Jaden Kannel, Theodore Pietrangelo, Oliver Pietrangelo, Evelyn Pietrangelo, and Julia Pietrangelo. He is also survived by his sister, Janet Melton, and preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Cox.
Raymond's legacy is one of love, laughter and creativity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home in Creve Coeur. The wake will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a religious ceremony immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association in Raymond's memory.
