Richard Louis Heidger
January 8, 1938 – March 24, 2022

Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Thursday, March 24, 2022 as the youngest 84 year old you ever met. Loving husband of Bonnie Heidger (nee Weber); dearest father and father-in-law of Karen (Gary) Menke, Steve (Tracey Hankins), Tom (Robyn) and Michael (Kay) Heidger; beloved brother of Helen (the late William) Roberts, the late Homer (Mable) and Jack (Betsy) Heidger; proud Boompa (a name he chose himself) of 12, and great Boompa of 13; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was a devoted and caring husband to his partner and best friend, Bonbon.

Richard was extremely proud and active in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He never missed a party…the first to arrive and the last to leave. He was an avid karaoke singer, golfer, reader and traveler, and president of the Drink of the Day Club.

Sadly we say for the last time, "Goodnight, Dick."

Funeral Mass at Incarnate Word Church, 13416 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, Friday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation at church 1 hour prior to Mass. Private inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul.
