Beloved husband of Leola Marilyn Besancenez (nee Russell); dear father and father-in-law of Robert "Rusty" (Christie) Besancenez, Roger (Dana) Besancenez and Susan (Ed) O'Day; dear grandfather of Sophie, Mason, Cecilia and Chance Besancenez, Emily (Nick) Foshiem, Grace (Adam) Berthold, Jennifer (Sean) Wilson, Greg (Michelle) and Cassandra O'Day; dear great-grandfather of Eleanor, Ben, Elliott, Simon, Landon, Jaysa and Grace; dear brother of Doris (the late Lloyd) Terbrock, William (Fran) Besancenez, Sr. Suzanne C.P.P.S, and the late Mildred (Bud) Brenner, Joseph (Anita) Besancenez.
Bob was born to Joseph and Estella Besancenez in 1932 and grew up in the St. Monica Parish in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He fell in love and married Marilyn shortly after he completed his military service and they married in St. Monica Catholic Church. Bob worked hard and provided a wonderful life for his family. Bob and Marilyn raised their three children in Bridgeton Missouri, later retiring to many wonderful years in Clearwater Florida. Bob was strong in his faith, loved to laugh, and enjoyed fishing, golf and card games. He will be fondly remembered.
Mass at St. Monica Church 12136 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Thurs., Aug. 3, 10:00 a.m. Visitation one hour prior at church. Interment St. Monica Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Foundation.
