Robert T. Ebert, Jr.
Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Loving husband to wife Darla, who adored him every day of his life; father to Ashley (Ryan) Carolan, Robert T. "Trey" Ebert, III, Brendon Wyatt Ebert and Ryan Michael Ebert whom he cherished above all else; proud papa to 2 grandsons Henry Peter and William Robert Carolan who he delighted in and who brought him smiles and great joy; dear son of the late Robert T. and Dorothy E. Ebert; dear brother of Nancy (Randy) Lamb, Michael (Marianne) Ebert, Daniel (Susan) Ebert, Don (Karen) Ebert, Katy (Brian) Cushing; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
A 1980 graduate of Rosary High School where he was a scholar athlete, and valedictorian of his class. He went on to attend his beloved Notre Dame University where he soaked in everything, and excelled academically, and athletically held court on a daily basis at the Rockne Memorial Gymnasium with his "ND Hoop Squad," graduating with Highest Honors, receiving a BBA in Accountancy in 1984. He then attended Law School at Mizzou, graduating Cum Laude in 1987.
He began his career as a summer associate with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in 1986 and never left. He was a trusted partner and friend. Outside of numerous awards, including Chambers USA 2011-2021, Best Lawyers in America 2015-2022, he served as a Compensation Committee Member, Litigation Group Leader, Relationship Attorney and an Executive Committee Member, guiding and mentoring his associates and partners around the world.
He was a dear friend and strategic legal/business advisor to Jim Kavanaugh, World Wide Technology, Inc., St. Louis Scott Gallagher, and the effort to bring MLS to St. Louis.
A humble, deeply loyal, hardworking, fair, do the right thing when no one is looking type of man, and he will be forever treasured in our hearts.
