Robert "Bob" G. Birkenmaier

Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Fri., Jan. 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Mary Jean Birkenmaier (nee Kiley); dear father and father-in-law of Gregory Birkenmaier and Julie (Phillip Minden) Birkenmaier; loving grandfather of Ben and Corina Birkenmaier Minden; dear brother of Joan (the late John) Brinkmann and Thomas (Lorraine) Birkenmaier; dear brother-in-law of Jim and Peggy Kiley and Daniel and Renee Kiley; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Bob was a special education teacher for 30 years for the St. Louis Public School District, co-owned a Globe Democrat route for 10 years, an ordained deacon, member of St. Vincent dePaul Society, airport chaplain and a visitor in the heart hospital at Mercy Hospital.

Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Wednesday, February 1 from 9-10:30 a.m. then to St. Monica Church for an 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Monica Parish appreciated.
