Robert Gregory Gremaud

Robert Gregory Gremaud was born January 5th, 1927, in Richmond Heights, Missouri and passed away peacefully at home on October 2nd, 2023, surrounded by his wife and family. When he was 10, he moved to his family's farm in the Perryville/Crosstown area where he spent his formative years. Bob was the third of nine children born to August and Estella (Nee Wigge) Gremaud. He was the proud father of 13 children: Rodney (Cathy) Gremaud, Jeanine (Robert) Childs, Gregory (Janet) Gremaud, Maureen (Joe) Zahner, Diane (Steve) Zych, James (Colleen) Gremaud, Kerry (Donna) Gremaud, David Gremaud, Paul (Julie) Gremaud, Barbara (Milo Gralnick) Gremaud, Susan (Dave Harleman) Gremaud, Rebecca (Chad Garrison) Gremaud, and Brian Gremaud. He was the grandfather of 42, great grandfather of 34, and great great grandfather of 6.

Bob and Verna Mae had been parishioners of St. Rita parish since 1958 and he was active in the Boy Scouts at St. Rita's school. After WWII he served in the Occupational Services in the Army bringing German citizens from Japan back to Germany. Bob worked at Wagner Electric for approximately 40 years and enjoyed a long retirement working on the farm. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed listening to baseball on his transistor radio as well as watching the Cardinals on TV with his wife. His large family was very important to him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A visitation at St. Rita's Church will be held Saturday, October 7th, 2023, from 9:30am to 11am with Mass immediately following. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon following at St. Rita Hall.
