Beloved husband of Jill Timken (nee Hicks); dear father and father-in-law of David (Jen) Timken and the late Jon Timken; loving grandfather of Mason and Jackson Timken; dear brother of Gary (Debbie) Timken, Steve (Dee) Timken and Becky (Gary) Connelly; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Robert (Bob) Linly Timken, 83, of St Louis, MO, passed away on June 29th. He was born in Dodge City, KS and enjoyed life on a small farm as a boy. He graduated from Fort Hays State College in 1964 with a degree in business. Bob and Jill married shortly after graduation. Bob worked for Texaco for 3 years before beginning a long career with Southwestern Bell (AT&T) in Wichita, KS. The company moved the family to St Louis in1969. He retired in 2000. Bob and Jill loved fishing and traveling with friends. Bob was known for his servant's heart. He made several mission trips to Russia and went on construction teams that built churches.
Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141 on Friday, July 4 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service at First Evangelical Free Church, 1375 Carman Rd., Manchester, MO 63021on Saturday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. Private interment at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society or Health Well Foundation.
