Rosanne A. Nunley, July 23, 1935 – June 8, 2026 of Creve Coeur, MO, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by daughters Sandra Reynolds, Starkville, MS and Kimberly Summers, Ballwin, MO; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family that will all miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Alven Nunley, and daughter, Teresa Reidinger as well as a brother, Jess Coufal and sister, Betty Williams.
She married Alven on April 25, 1959 at First Baptist Church, Muskogee. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist School of nursing and later completed a B.S. degree in nursing in 1985 from Northeastern State University and a M.S. in nursing from Oklahoma University in 1990. She worked as a registered nurse with Oklahoma Baptist Hospital, Muskogee Regional Medal Center and the VA Regional Medical Center in Muskogee. Early in her career she worked at other hospitals and retired from the VAMC with 30 years of federal service. She participated in professional nursing organizations and served a term as president of the Oklahoma Nurses Association District 3. She was also a member of NSU Division of Nursing Honor Society.
She made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized as a young person. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and First Baptist Church over the years she resided in Muskogee. She served in the Children’s Sunday School department at Shiloh for several years. In her younger years, she was an expert seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her three daughters. After retirement, she spent many hours researching family genealogy.
Visitation at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403. Saturday, June 13 from 9-10 a.m. Service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 7600 Old Taft Rd., Muskogee, OK.
