Beloved husband of Angala "Angie" Boyd (nee Clack); dear father of Christopher Boyd; dear brother of Katherine Hammett, Ann (Harry) Hassinger; dear brother -in-law of Dana Krutil, Wilma (Jerry) Gittemeier and Brian (Diane) Clack; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
Devoted father and husband.
Served his country as SGT in the U.S. Air Force from1971 to 1976. Favorite things Russ loved to do: Walking on a beach with his wife, taking his, beloved cat Squeaks out for her nightly walk, feeding the birds, working his flower garden while hiding whimsical garden treasures for Angie to find and ask Russ "now where did this come from", bowling, taking care of his neighbors with a wave and bringing in their trash cans, providing the neighbor's doggies with treats and toys.
"Mighty Fine Job Russ – Mighty Fine" is what his beloved father-in-law would always tell him after Russ took care of his flowers and mowed his lawn.
Russ will be missed deeply by all of us.
Visitation at Ortmann's, 9222 Lackland Rd., Overland, Thurs., April 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association or Human Society of Missouri.
