Sally Roy (McNulty), aged 80, departed from this world on January 17, 2024. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Weldie Roy, and predeceased by her sisters MaryAnn Mueller (Bill), Jane McNulty and brother in-law Bobby Roy. Sally's legacy lives on through her daughter, Kelle Bruening (Tim), son Scott Roy (Carrie), grandchildren Jordyn Banas (John), Matt Bruening (Nicole), Alley Bruening, Connor Roy, and Parker Roy, as well as her great-grandchildren Sutton, Colton, and Mason Banas. She is also survived by her siblings Mike McNulty (Susan), Ruth Neske (Rich), Joyce Greenway (Gaylen) and sister in-laws Judy Roth (Larry), Debbie Donnelly (Rob)and brother-in-law Rick Roy (Pam).
Born on May 12, 1943, in St. Louis, MO, Sally was a cherished daughter of Ed and Edna McNulty. In 1965, she and Weldie embarked on a lifelong journey together in marriage.
Sally's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, particularly their special birthday lunches. She loved her time at Lake's End, where she could be found sitting by the campfire, enjoying boat rides on Lucky in Love, and savoring every moment with Weldie and her family. Some of Sally's favorite activities were card club, golf league, summer trips to Omaha, lunches with grade school friends, and participating in the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade with her clan.
A testament to her enduring love, Sally had a special place in her heart for her ferocious Maltese companion, Mickey, whom she both tolerated and loved.
Sally's departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her spirit and the memories she created will forever be etched in our minds. May she rest in eternal peace.
A memorial service to celebrate Sally's life will be held on Friday January 26th, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. John Bosco Parish with visitation/luncheon to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
