Sharon Ann McMullin Diecker, of Overland, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

She was the beloved sister of Lois Staples and Debi Smith (Jimmy Weaver); dear aunt of Christopher Staples, Michael R. Smith II (Holly Landrum-Smith), and Lauren Smith Blair (Chris Blair); and dear great-aunt of Matthew Staples, Zack Staples, LeAnn Guyon, and Kennedy Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Rosina "Penny" McMullin, and brothers-in-law John Staples and Michael R. Smith. She will be deeply missed by her aunts, cousins, friends, and former colleagues and students.

Sharon was a retired coach and faculty member of St. Louis Public Schools, including Central Visual & Performing Arts High School and Academy of Math & Science. In healthier years, Sharon loved to travel with her friends, scuba dive, coach high school sports, suntan at the Overland American Legion swimming pool, and spend time with her family, friends, and students. She graduated from Mercy High School and Maryville University.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Ortmann Funeral Home, 9222 Lackland Road, Overland, from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., immediately followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
