Sharon Ruth Wilson (Kunnemann), was called to heaven at Evelyn's House on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Born on April 18th, 1947 in Granite City, Illinois, she was preceded in death by her parents, Olivia and Fred Kunnemann, and her brother Dennis (Nancy) Kunnemann. Sharon was nursing supervisor at Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital for 35 years where she cared for ill children and made lifelong friends.To ensure more time with her own family, she tirelessly worked nights at the hospital. Sharon had a love of life and living each day to its fullest. She enjoyed going to concerts and musicals, dancing, snow skiing, swimming, boating, gardening, long walks in nature, and spoiling her dog Tess. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Mike Wilson, brother Gary Kunnemann (Cathy) , her two sets of twins, Laurie DeJohn (Steve) & Lisa Haugen (Jay), Jennifer Kerr (Rick) & Brian Dieckmann (Dana) and stepmother to Dion Wilson (Kim). Cherished by her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as "MiMi" to Olivia, Lexi, Harvey, Ellis, Charlie, Lucy, Liberty, Sam, Norman and Wyatt; beloved cousin, aunt, sister-in-law, caring friend and neighbor. Sharon knew no strangers, and never hesitated to help a person or animal in need.

Services: Visitation will take place on July 13th, from 9:30am to 11:00am at Sunset Country Club, 9555 S. Geyer Road, St. Louis, MO 63127, followed by a private memorial service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the ASPCA or Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital .
