Shirley Ann Fister (nee Blackford)

Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Beloved wife of Gerald R. Fister; dear mother and mother-in-law of Cherie (René) Fister-Trapaga, Michelle (Don) Burmester, Amy (Cathy) Fister, Andrew Fister, Peter Fister and Matthew (Lisa) Fister; loving grandmother of Amy Marie Peacock, Jesse Burmester, Leigh (Bill) Misner, Stephen (Jill) Fister, Tera Lynne  Fister, Benjamin Fister, Eleanor Fister and George Fister; loving step grandmother of Marcelina (Candace) Michel-Trapaga and Reyna Michel-Trapaga; loving great-grandmother of Lucas and Josephine Hanneken, Maeve and Ryan Peacock and Lucy and Simon Fister.

Shirley was a model of uncomplicated and pure love. She was married for 69 years to her greatest love, Jerry. She also loved, and in turn, is fiercely loved by generations of family and friends.

Funeral Mass at Christ Prince of Peace Church, 415 Weidman Rd., Manchester, MO on Fri., Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. with visitation at church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Prince of Peace Church appreciated.
