Spencer Richard Straubmuller
Spence left the Earth on January 16, 2025. He was a loving father to Nancy (Jim) Brown and Eric (Shayma) Straubmuller. He was a loving Opa to Matthew (Daphne) Straubmuller, Samuel Straubmuller and Quentin "Q" Williams. He was a loving brother to Warren (Debbie) Straubmuller and uncle to Trac and Michael Straubmuller.
Spence was born on October 31st, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and lived there until he attended college at Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College (now known as Truman State University) in Kirksville, Missouri. After graduating in 1968, he took a job with the Ritenour School District in St. Louis Missouri. There he dedicated his teaching career for 33 years, in every grade level, and multiple subjects. Even after retiring, he worked part-time at Forest Park Community College for 10+ years. He was a teacher up to the end (just ask his children and grandchildren). He was a proud Master Mason and past Worshipful Master of the Overland-Occidental Lodge #623. He loved his family and friends and would lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. He also enjoyed food, the ocean, tinkering with computers, wood working, and any gadget he could get his hands on He will be missed by all, especially his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Visitation at Ortmann's, 9222 Lackland Rd. Overland, Mon. Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Service at 12 p.m. Interment Bellerive Gardens.
