Thomas (Tom) Richard Simpkin, age 64. Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Preceded in death by his parents Hal and Catherine Simpkin (nee Messina). Left to cherish his memory are his beloved stepmother Chris Simpkin, his sisters Michele "Shelly" (Tom) Beger and Angela Simpkin, brother Dave Simpkin, niece Dana (Vince) Otto, stepbrothers Dave (Robin) Busby, and Bob (Laura) Busby, an uncle, 2 aunts, many cousins and step nieces and step nephews, and very many friends who loved him.

Tom had a smile that would light up a room.  He was funny and so much fun to be with.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, his friends and to strangers.

Tom was a talented house renovator, artist, athlete and a great dancer.  He loved playing ice hockey, playing the piano, showing his antique Corvette, traveling, camping, fishing, The Indy 500, riding his Harley, biking the Katy Trail, concerts and theater, especially the Muny. He skydived, completed a St. Louis Marathon, hiked the Grand Canyon twice, and even was an extra in a George Clooney movie.

Tom loved animals and had several pet kitties and birds through the years.  Sammy, his funny McCaw, is missing him.
