Tracy Eileen Hathaway, 54, passed away on May 16th, 2026. She was born on July 26, 1971 to Noraleen (nee Scherer) and the late Hillis Hathaway. Beloved mother to Madison Egner (Imran Alvi) and Hailey Egner; dear Mimi to Everly Alvi; dear sister to Robert Hathaway, Donna Hathaway, and Beth Hathaway-Bynum (Ivan Bynum); best friend to Tammy Pierce (Brian Pierce); beloved aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt, friend, cousin, and co-worker to many.

Tracy earned her Associates from St. Louis Community College in 1995 and then proceeded to obtain her Bachelors from Maryville University in 2001. She worked as an accountant for Lindenwood University.

Tracy loved spending time with her family. Her life revolved around her girls. Her heart grew even bigger when her granddaughter was born. Mimi was her favorite title other than Mom.

Tracy was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in November of 2023. She took on this battle with the ultimate grace. She even worked full time while going through treatments. Then in December of 2025, it was determined that treatments were causing more harm than good to her body and she was placed on hospice care.

Tracy loved the ocean and the beach. Just a couple of weeks before her passing, her and her best friend made it to Gulf Shores. There she was able to mark parasailing off of her bucket list. She absolutely loved it and had said she would do it again.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141. Service to follow at 3:00pm.
