Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Thursday, November 23, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Agnes E. Hezel (nee Dunlap); dear father and father-in-law of Jim (Debbie) Hezel, Susan Ahner and the late Vickie Hezel; loving grandpa of Jimmy Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Jessica (Trevor) Morris, Graham Ahner, Alyssa Ahner, Nick (Kristen) Hezel and the late Karen Smith; loving great-grandpa of Mark, Michael, Lilly, Lucy, Madelyn and Camdyn; dear brother of Charles (Aloha) Hezel, Charlotte (the late Armand) Hoch and the late Robert (the late Gladys) Hezel, the late J.D. (the late JoAnn) Hezel and the late Jane (the late Russ) Kourik; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
Victor was an Army veteran, proud member of the Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame and American Legion Post 397 and was an avid gardener.
Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141 on Friday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. then to St. Richard Catholic Church, 11223 Schuetz Rd., St. Louis, MO 63146 for 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mount Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association appreciated.
