Obituary

Virginia Kay Fox

Virginia Kay Fox was born on May 27, 1948, and was reunited with her parents, Robert F. and Katherine Hebeler, and brother, William R. Hebeler, on October 13, 2023. Kay was born in Effingham, Illinois, and raised in Warson Woods, Missouri. She graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1966 and from Colorado Women's College in 1970.

In 1976, she met the love of her life, Cottrell Fox, and they were married for 44years. They traveled the world together to 5 continents and visited more than 100 countries.

She was the beloved Mom to Jambo and Triple, her beautiful Springer Spaniels. Kay was a wonderful gourmet cook, avid tennis player, Sudoku expert, and puzzle master. She was known far and wide for her infectious smile and relentless optimism.

In addition to Cot, she is survived by her brother, Robert F. Hebeler, Jr., and his wife, RuLan; brother in law, Dave Fox, and his wife, Anne; sister in law, Barcy Fox; and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank Dr. Elliot Abbey and Dr. Steven Willey of St. Luke's Hospital, the caring nurses of Caring Christians, the caregivers and staff at Surrey Place and ProMedica Hospice. Also, many thanks to our wonderful neighbors at Pacland Place and old friends from Webster Groves High School.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date and place. In lieu of flowers, our family would be honored if you would make a contribution in Kay's name to the Humane Society of Missouri or the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri.
