Obituary

Susan L. Vollmer (nee Lively) Sat. Dec. 12, 2020

beloved wife of Harold H. Vollmer for 57 Years; dear mother and mother-in-law of Keith (JoAnn) Vollmer, Kim (David) Sieber, Meema (Leslie) Tisdale and the late Cory Vollmer; dear grandmother of LaBritteny, Brandon, Justin, Sarah, Ryan, Andrew, Grace, Brody and Taya "Sis"; dear great-grandmother of Brayden and Emmett; dear sister of Jeanne (Wayne) Cody; dear daughter of the late Fred and Lucille Lively; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Susan was gentle, had a love for Christ and loved her family.

She was a devoted homemaker and loved to vacation with her family to the beach or the mountains. She liked to sit on the deck and watch the Hummingbirds and enjoy the beautiful flowers she planted with care.

She showed her love through cooking/baking for family and friends (she was known for her delicious pies), sending notes and prayers of encouragement to those in need and her hands were always busy doing something kind for others. Her strong Faith and love for the Lord was her compass and she was extremely kind, patient, a lot of fun to be around and loved unconditionally.

Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5-6 – "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight."

Private services Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
